FAISALABAD ( Staff Report): The CIA police Faisalabad claimed to have busted gangs of robbers and thieves, recovering public property worth millions of rupees.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, SP CIA Hafiz Ghulam Mohtada said that, following the direction of City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad, Sahibzada Bilal Umar, the CIA Faisalabad has made significant strides and successfully dismantled criminal networks.
Solved Cases: Robbery and Kidnapping-for-Ransom
Sharing the CIA Faisalabad’s performance for January and February, he said they have succeeded in apprehending 27 gangs and arrested 62 suspects involved in various criminal activities.
He highlighted a robbery case in Niamoana, where criminals killed a man and injured his son– a case that was traced by the CIA. He said that the suspects involved in a kidnapping-for-ransom case were also captured in the nick of time.
Stolen Vehicles and Weapons Seized from Criminals
During the crackdown, he said the CIA Faisalabad recovered three cars, 154 motorbikes, and five rickshaws from the gangs.
Besides, he said twelve stolen cattle and various weapons were also seized from the possession of suspects.
SP Mohtada stated that a total of Rs 35 million worth of stolen property was recovered from the criminals.
CIA Faisalabad Tightens Noose Around Drug Peddlers
The CIA also tightened the noose around drug-peddlers and successfully confiscated 57 kilograms of hashish and 9 kilograms of heroin this year.
Moreover, the SP said the CIA Faisalabad also arrested 13 proclaimed offenders, 146 habitual criminals, and other suspects involved in serious crimes.
Faisalabad Police Commitment to Maintaining Law and Order
He assured that Faisalabad police are burning the midnight oil to maintain law and order and protect lives and properties of the masses.
