The man suspected of shooting rapper Sauce Walka in Memphis, Tennessee, on March 22 has been found dead in Houston, Texas, according to police.
The Memphis Police Department (MPD) announced on March 31 that Jayden Dandridge, 21, who was linked to the shooting outside the Westin Hotel in downtown Memphis, was discovered deceased in Houston.
The cause of his death remains unclear.
Authorities have also identified a second suspect, Kevin Brown, 22, who is still on the run. Police have issued a warrant for his arrest, charging him with:
First-degree murder
Attempted First-degree murder
Employment of a firearm during a dangerous felony
Theft of property ($10,000–$60,000)
Details of the Shooting
The shooting occurred around 2:42 p.m. on March 22 outside the Westin Hotel (170 Lt. George W. Lee Ave.).
Officers arrived to find Letorian Hunt, 27, dead at the scene. Hunt, also a rapper known as Sayso P, was fatally shot.
Sauce Walka—whose real name is Albert Mondane, 34—was critically injured and rushed to Regional One Health for treatment.
Memphis police believe the attack was targeted, though the motive remains under investigation.

On March 23, Sauce Walka shared an update by reposting an Instagram story from Houston Texans star C.J. Gardner, who wished him a speedy recovery.
The rapper’s father, Albert Walker, told KHOU that his son’s survival was a miracle:
“Had it not been for God, my son would’ve been dead.”
