FAISALABAD: The Punjab government is taking practical and result-oriented steps to help people, and they are appreciating the policies of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Pakistan Muslim League-N MPA Rao Kashif Raheem, talking to Grand Lines News , said that the opposition has raised a hue and cry over the advertisement highlighting the Punjab government’s one-year performance under Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Transparency in Advertisements
He said there is nothing amiss in the advertisement, as all the projects mentioned can be verified.
Anti-Encroachment Drive Wins Public Approval
He said the Punjab government has launched an operation against encroachments across the province. Although this project might cost the party politically, it is clear that people are largely satisfied with this initiative.
Rao Kashif said that it was once impossible for pedestrians to walk through even the busiest markets and bazaars due to the encroachments, but now the tables have turned following the operation.
Public Feedback on Anti-Encroachment Efforts
He said that, as a public representative, he has touched base with people, students, and the business community regarding the pros and cons of the anti-encroachment operation.
He said the majority expressed their satisfaction and put their faith in the leadership of Maryam Nawaz.
Development Projects and Public Appreciation
“People are not in the dark about the development projects and other schemes launched by the Punjab government. The entire Punjab government team is burning the midnight oil to provide relief to the masses. Everyone is appreciating these initiatives, except the opposition,” he claimed.
A Clear Agenda Across Sectors
He said that from agriculture to health and education, every institution is under the radar of the Chief Minister Punjab. “We have a clear-cut agenda; relief will be provided to the masses, come hell or high water.”
Upgrading Healthcare Facilities
Talking about the health sector, Rao Kashif said that basic health units and rural health centers are being upgraded, and a mechanism has been put in place to ensure the presence of doctors at healthcare facilities.
He mentioned that it was observed that despite the installation of biometric systems, some doctors and healthcare workers were playing hooky and neglecting their duties.
However, now there will be no room for such negligence, as strict measures are being enforced. Doctors will no longer have the luxury of drawing their salaries without fulfilling their responsibilities.
Supporting Farmers Amid Climate Change
Discussing the changing scenario following climate change, Rao Kashif said the Punjab government is leaving no stone unturned to support the farming community.
He said that the government has rolled out multiple incentives for farmers, ensuring they have access to the latest machinery. Moreover, farmers are being brought up to speed on how to tackle climate change-related challenges, he added.
