HOUSTON, Texas – A Houston spa owner is facing serious legal trouble after officials say she operated her clinic without proper licensing and used fake medical products on clients.
On April 9, 45-year-old Aseel Al Tameemi was arrested and charged with practicing medicine without a license.
She was later released from custody after posting a $100 bond.
Court documents reveal Al Tameemi owns and manages Lilac Touch Med Spa, located in the 3300 block of South Gessner Road.
According to the records, the spa has been operating without the required medical license since 2020.
Investigators also allege that she purchased counterfeit medications for procedures, putting clients at risk. Authorities have not specified what types of medications were involved.
The arrest has raised concerns about unregulated cosmetic procedures in the area and the ease with which some businesses continue operations outside the law.
Al Tameemi is scheduled to return to court on April 17.
