HOUSTON – A Bryan, Texas, man is facing stalking charges for allegedly harassing well-known Houston attorney Tony Buzbee, his wife, and his law firm, according to court records.
Brian Schoeneman, 51, is accused of repeatedly contacting Buzbee’s firm and making threats, including one to bring down the 73rd floor where the office is located.
Buzbee and his staff expressed fear for their safety due to the ongoing harassment.
Authorities say Schoeneman continued his actions despite being warned by a Harris County deputy to stop contacting Buzbee and his employees.
During the conversation, Schoeneman reportedly agreed to comply but insisted on reaching out one last time. The deputy noted concerns about Schoeneman’s mental health.
Even after the warning, Schoeneman allegedly made more calls, threatening that Buzbee would “go down” if he did not “fix things.” He also reportedly claimed that if Buzbee failed to act, “all of Texas will go,” adding that he would walk away.
Court documents reveal that Schoeneman sent photos of Buzbee’s home and family dog, along with videos of himself cursing at the attorney.
He also allegedly emailed threats to Buzbee’s wife’s personal account.
Following a review of the evidence, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office approved stalking charges against Schoeneman.
Law enforcement has issued a warrant for his arrest.
