A lawyer, Jill Easter, out of pure spite, would do anything to get revenge on a teacher.
We are going to expose the face of this terrible woman in this true crime story who tried to punish an innocent and simple woman, a teacher, for a crime she didn’t commit.
This woman hates another woman and, to ruin her life, plants illegal substances in her car.
True Crime That Sparked Revenge
The story begins with a woman named Kelly who is a volunteer at a local primary school. She is the president of the teachers’ association, and everyone likes her. But one day, after school, she is supervising the children at school. One of these children, a boy named Luke, is late in joining the queue with the other students and accidentally gets locked outside the school. Luke becomes upset and starts crying.
Luke remains locked in the school for about 5 to 8 minutes. As soon as someone learns that Luke is locked inside the school, he is brought in from there.
Jill Easter, who is Luke’s mother, came to know about this incident and reached school. She is very angry that Luke had accidentally been locked out. She goes to Kelly and scolds her, yelling at and shouting at Kelly, saying that she is a careless woman who didn’t care at all that her (Jill Easter’s) son was missing.
Jill Easter asks Kelly, “How could you leave my child outside for five minutes?” Kelly apologizes profusely to Jill Easter to resolve the matter, explaining that Luke had been locked out due to his slow feet.
Instead of understanding the matter, Jill Easter starts doubting the volunteer and says that she is calling her son mentally slow, meaning that her son is mentally disabled.
Jill Easter starts behaving like crazy.
She starts planning to take revenge on Kelly.
Escalating Harassment
The next day, Jill Easter comes to the school to talk to the principal. She tells what happened the day before and demands that they fire Kelly. In the light of these accusations, the school administration investigates and sees that Kelly hasn’t done anything wrong.
During the investigation, it comes to light that Kelly did nothing wrong, due to which the school administration decides that they will not fire Kelly in any way. So they do not fire her despite Jill Easter’s insistence.
After the school administration’s decision, it is clear that Jill Easter was angry and upset, and she decided that she would not remain silent on this whole matter and would definitely take revenge on Kelly and the school administration.
She prints pamphlets to tell people how bad Kelly is and that she should be fired so that the children at school can be safe. Then she stands in front of the school and distributes the pamphlets to the parents. But still, the school administration does not fire Kelly.
As I told you, Jill Easter was nowhere to be silent. She complains to the superintendent against the volunteer, but there too she fails and Kelly is not expelled from the school.
Then Jill Easter complains to a state board in California.
After complaining to the board, Jill Easter is completely satisfied that Kelly will now be expelled from the school, but Kelly is still holding her position in the school. Jill Easter was not going to ignore these circumstances in any way because she had decided that she would take revenge on Kelly.
The Descent into Criminality
She files a report with the police, in which she requests to ban Kelly. She claims Kelly harassed her son. She is following her, and even Jill Easter alleges that Kelly tried to kill her son Luke.
Jill Easter could not present any kind of evidence regarding all these allegations. Obviously, she was lying. Due to the failure to present evidence, the police reject her claim.
But, Jill Easter was nowhere to be silent. Jill Easter and her husband, Kent Easter, were both lawyers. Kent Easter is a high-level lawyer. Jill convinces her husband to file a civil suit against Kelly.
And in this case, they claim that Kelly kept their son Luke imprisoned for five minutes and gave him emotional distress.
As happened before, Jill Easter failed to take any action against Kelly in any way, and this case against her was also dismissed. On the other hand, due to this conflict, Kelly was under severe stress. She didn’t know what to do in these circumstances.
When failure from all sides becomes Jill Easter’s fate, she suddenly becomes silent. No drama, no trial, nothing. Several months pass and Kelly doesn’t face any kind of tension from Easter, and she understands that the harassment is finally over.
The Turning Point
After about a year, one night, a man calls the police and tells them that he saw Kelly driving dangerously. He tells the police that I am calling because my daughter is a student at the primary school where Kelly is employed. He says it looked like Kelly was drunk.
This man also said that he saw Kelly driving towards the school in a drunken state.
The police go to the school to investigate Kelly’s case. The policemen take Kelly aside and tell her about the report against her and ask if they can search her car. Kelly says, “Of course, I have nothing to hide.”
The police opened her car and searched it. Guess what they find?
A lot of drugs. The discovery of drugs from her car shocked everyone. Obviously, this was such a matter that how could a school volunteer use drugs or keep them in her car?
The police start asking Kelly tough questions. They conduct a drug test on the spot, such as walking in a straight line and other things. All this was not happening in closed rooms, no, no, all this was happening in the school parking lot where all the students, parents, and teachers were present. This situation made the innocent Kelly very upset and her job was also in danger.
Fortunately, Kelly passed the drug test because she had never used any intoxicating substances.
The policemen also start to believe that Kelly is not drunk; maybe someone put drugs in her car.
Unraveling the Conspiracy
The investigators look into the matter and start investigating who made the phone call to the police. When they track, they come to know that the call was made from a nearby hotel.
The policemen watch the video of the hotel’s cameras and come to know that Kent Easter was present in the hotel just before the call was made to the police. The investigators obtain his phone record and see that Kent Easter’s phone was near Kelly’s apartment complex that night when drugs appeared in Kelly’s car.
This means that he found out where she lived, hid in her apartment complex at night and put drugs in her car, and called the police the next day to get her arrested in front of the whole school. He calls the police with the hope that after the discovery of drugs, she will be expelled from the school.
Seeing these circumstances, the policemen turn the investigation towards the Easters and start monitoring them. One day, the policemen see a strange man coming out of Easter’s house—this man is Gomez. They stop Gomez and question him. Gomez tells the police that he is a firefighter and has an affair with Jill Easter. He was doing all this behind Kent Easter’s back.
The investigators tell Gomez that he will meet Jill with a recorder. Surprisingly, Gomez cooperates with the police and agrees to wear the recorder. He meets Jill Easter in a local park. Gomez doesn’t get much information, but he tells her that they should stop meeting each other until the attention on her is over. Jill Easter doesn’t like this idea for a minute. She goes crazy, yells at him, and breaks up with him.
After that, she starts coming to Gomez’s house often, where his wife also lives. Jill Easter tells Gomez’s wife that they have been in a relationship for two years. She prints the pictures taken by Gomez and leaves them in the mailbox for his wife to see. She also emailed pictures to his wife’s colleagues. .
Jill Easter tries to tell Gomez’s wife’s colleagues about the details of her and Gomez’s relationship. And for this, she includes pictures in the emails that she and Gomez had taken.
Jill Easter wants as many people as possible to know that Gomez cheated on his wife and that he is a bad person. She is trying her best to ruin his reputation.
Justice Served
However, finally, the police arrest Jill Easter and Kent Easter on charges of conspiring to plant drugs in Kelly’s car.
Jill Easter is found guilty, sentenced to 120 days in prison, and is forever ineligible to practice law. Because her license is revoked.
Kent Easter is sentenced to 180 days in prison, and his legal license is also suspended. Eventually, the Easters get divorced—sadly, only because of false pride, Jill Easter risked everything and this good couple had to separate.
On the other hand, Kelly files a civil court case against the Easters and is awarded $5.7 million in compensation.
You understand that this amount was paid to Kelly for going through hell because she was punished for an innocent crime and had to face public humiliation.
