Authorities in Houston, Texas, arrested 12 individuals during a weekend raid at an unlicensed after-hours club in northwest Houston, according to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

The targeted business was a sexually oriented establishment operating without proper permits.

Officials say such venues contribute to increased crime and public safety concerns.

Speaking at the scene, District Attorney Teare emphasized the crackdown on illegal businesses.

“This is the beginning of an operation we’re going to continue until we take back our streets,” Teare stated.
