FAISALABAD (Staff Report): The Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) is preparing to launch regular preparatory classes for CSS and PMS.
The initiative is being taken to give aspirants a head start in pursuing careers in civil services. These classes will commence next month.
To set the stage, the Career Counseling and Alumni Affairs Department of Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), has organized a one-day coaching seminar on Thursday.
Former Secretary of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), Nawaz Khalid Arb, was the key speaker.
Addressing the participants, Nawaz Khalid asserted that success stems from continuous self-evaluation, acknowledging that one’s mistakes are a stepping stone to personal and professional growth.
He urged aspirants to set clear and ambitious goals in their lives. He said that having a low aim is a greater crime than failure.
Competitive Exams: More Than Just Tests
He explained that competitive exams are not merely tests but a mindset. He described attitude as the “software” of success in these exams.
He stressed the importance of cultivating a competitive attitude to rise to challenges and achieve their goals.
Nawaz Khalid also shed light on the civil services, examination methodologies, and the role of failure as a stepping stone to success.
Concluding the seminar, Dr. Abdul Qadir Mushtaq, Head of the Pakistan Studies Department and the Director of Career Counseling, announced that the university is gearing up to launch regular preparatory classes for CSS and PMS aspirants next month.
