Houston Police Seek Help Identifying Clumsy Armed Robbery Suspect

HOUSTON — Authorities in Houston are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent armed robbery at an east Houston convenience store.

According to the Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division, the incident took place on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, around 3 p.m., at a store near Federal Road and Market Street.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect struggling to handle his firearm, accidentally dropping it into his pants before falling to the floor.

After regaining control of the weapon, the suspect approached the store clerk behind a protective counter and demanded cash.

When the clerk moved away, the suspect discharged his firearm inside the store.

He then grabbed a case of beer from a cooler and left the scene. Investigators believe he may have fled in a white truck.

Authorities describe the suspect as a white or Hispanic male wearing dark-colored pants and a dark pullover.

Police urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston.

Tips that result in an arrest or charges may qualify for a reward of up to $5,000. The case number for this incident is 53778-25.
