However, the truth was far darker. These women treated children horribly and imposed terrifying punishments that sent chills down the spine.
A Picture-Perfect Family on YouTube
This family had created a vlog channel and was living a prosperous and peaceful life. They had six children, and their channel became extremely popular on YouTube due to their interesting and unique content.
Everything seemed perfect for them – joy and peace surrounded their lives, and they had become famous in the world of online content.
The First Signs of Disturbing Behavior
But then, some of their viewers noticed something strange about the way this family treated their children. It appeared that they were being overly strict with them, as if their freedom or right to food and comfort had been taken away.
In one of the videos, the mother tells her son, “I will tell you only once, or I will take away your right to food.” The son also says that, as a punishment, his mother had taken away his bed and room.
The Family’s Strained Marriage and Search for Help
The mother’s name was Ruby, and the father’s name was Kevin. One day, Ruby and Kevin got into an argument that quickly escalated.
Despite this, Ruby and Kevin continued fighting, and seeing the state of their relationship, they both decided to see a relationship counselor named Hilda Brandt.
Hilda Brandt’s Role in Their Lives
Hilda Brandt became deeply involved in their lives. Not only was she their marriage counselor, but she was also Ruby’s mentor. Ruby and Hilda’s relationship grew so strong that they even started a podcast together.
However, Hilda did not make effective efforts to help their relationship, and as a result, Ruby and Kevin’s situation continued to worsen, ultimately leading to their separation. During this time, Ruby grew even closer to Hilda, and their friendship strengthened further.
A Dangerous Step Towards Control
But then came the moment when everything started to spiral out of control. Ruby sent her two young children to Hilda for full-time therapy.
It seemed like Ruby wanted to prove her loyalty to Hilda by sending her children to become more obedient and well-behaved. Ruby and Hilda created an environment for the children that was akin to a detention camp.

And as all this was happening, Ruby and Hilda were also running an organization providing advice to parents on how to raise children in the best way possible. They also managed an Instagram account called “Moms of Truth,” dedicated to guiding parents.
A Desperate Cry for Help
Ruby and Hilda believed no one would ever find out about their treatment of children, and things would continue as they were. But things did not stay hidden for long.
The situation went on for some time, and the poor children remained trapped in a terrifying reality.
The Shocking Escape of the 11-Year-Old Boy
One night, everything was silent, and there was a knock on Hilda’s neighbor’s door. The neighbor opens the door to find the same 11-year-old boy who had been living under harsh conditions at Hilda’s house.
His hands and feet were taped with duct tape, and he had been bound in this way at Hilda’s house. His body was covered with wounds, and he was severely malnourished.
A Heartbreaking Plea for Help
Just moments before, he had been at Hilda’s house, where he had been tied up as punishment. When his mother, Ruby, and Hilda were in another room, engaged in casual conversation, the 11-year-old boy managed to untie his hands and ankles.
He quietly crawled out the window, and ran as fast as he could. He reached the neighbor’s house and knocked on their door, begging for help and food.
The Neighbor’s Call for Help
This young child, whose eyes were filled with pain and fear, knocked on the neighbor’s door. His voice was so weak, as if he might collapse any moment, and he pleaded, “Please help me, I am so hungry, I need food and water.”
His words were full of such desperation that they sent shivers down anyone’s spine.
The Police Arrive and Rescue the Children
The neighbor’s heart broke when they saw the child’s condition and immediately called the police. His voice trembled as he told the police, “An 11-year-old boy has come to my door. His feet are wrapped in duct tape, and he is so thirsty, it’s like he’s asking for his last sip of water. He’s standing here begging for help, and his voice is filled with so much fear and desperation that it breaks my heart.”
The Children Are Saved, but the Nightmare Continues
The neighbor’s eyes welled up with tears, and their heart ached seeing the state of this innocent child.
He prayed desperately for the police to arrive quickly, so they could help the child. The child was standing there, helpless, hoping for human compassion.
The Arrest of Ruby and Hilda
After the report, the police quickly arrived at Hilda’s house, where they found Ruby’s 9-year-old daughter, who was clearly suffering from malnutrition and illness.
Her eyes showed hopelessness, and her body bore the signs of weakness, as if she were searching for a glimmer of hope.
The police immediately arrested Ruby and Hilda.
The Court Case and Consequences
The police took the two siblings, as well as two other children, and transferred them to Child Protective Care.
The two older children of Ruby’s family, who were able to take care of themselves, were left behind, ensuring that Ruby and Hilda could no longer harm them.

After the police investigation, Ruby and Hilda’s case was presented in court, where they were held accountable for their cruelty and inhumanity.
They were sentenced, but the exact length of their sentence is still unknown. However, it is believed that they could be sentenced to a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 30 years.
