An ordinary-looking man once made a bizarre claim: “The world is ending, and the apocalypse is near. I am the only one who can save humanity from destruction.”
His name was Roch. He was a local preacher known for his charisma and fiery speeches. People believed his words and felt proud to follow him. But one day, fate took a shocking turn that changed Roch’s world forever.
Expelled from the Church, But Not Defeated
Roch had a major conflict with his church’s administration, which eventually led to his expulsion. This decision was a huge setback for him, but he was not the kind of man to give up.
Roch was extremely confident and determined. He thought, “If the church won’t support me, I’ll create my own world.” He decided to establish a new group and community in a remote place where no one could stop him.
A New Beginning in the Wilderness
He shared his plan with a few of his loyal followers and said, “Let’s build a new world—one where the apocalypse can’t harm us, and we will survive.”
Surprisingly, twelve of his followers believed in him completely and agreed without hesitation. For them, this wasn’t just a journey but a test of faith. They left their homes and moved into the wilderness with Roch. There, with hard work and dedication, they built a small cabin, followed by more structures. They had officially started a new life, and Roch was their leader.
His followers saw him as their savior. They considered his words sacred. Over time, Roch decided to take his power to the next level. He announced that the apocalypse was near and that, for humanity’s survival, he needed to marry the women in the group.
The Cult Leader Marries Eight Women
Then, he married eight out of the nine women. This decision shocked everyone, but due to their blind devotion, his followers obeyed without question.
Now, Roch had eight wives and maintained relationships with all of them. He claimed it was necessary to repopulate the world after the apocalypse. Within a few years, he had over twenty children. What started as a small group of twelve people had now turned into a community of over forty.
A Dark Turn: From Savior to Tyrant
This story, which had begun with hope, was now descending into darkness, cruelty, and fear. Roch, who was once seen as a savior, had become addicted to alcohol.
He called himself a holy and spiritual being, but his reality was beginning to unfold. His behavior towards the community became harsh, and his leadership turned into a ruthless dictatorship.
Roch’s cruelty increased day by day. He punished his followers brutally. Sometimes, he beat them with a belt, other times with a hammer.
The Fake Healer and His Cruelty
To instill fear, he would fire his gun near them. He had become a terrifying ruler, but his followers endured everything because of their blind faith. They believed Roch would protect them from the apocalypse, which, in their minds, could happen any day.
Roch claimed to have divine healing powers. When someone got sick, he tried to treat them himself, but his methods often made things worse. The community suffered unimaginable horrors, yet his followers still remained loyal.
Two or three years later, a stranger joined their group. His name was Guy, and he seemed like an odd person. Roch assigned him to take care of the children, believing it suited his personality. But soon, Guy started acting irresponsibly.
A Tragic Death Shakes the Commune
One day, two-year-old Samuel, the youngest child in the community, started crying. Guy, who was responsible for him, got frustrated when the child wouldn’t stop and started beating him mercilessly. Little Samuel was badly injured, and the news reached Roch.
Despite calling himself a sacred healer, Roch took no action against the brutal treatment of Samuel. Instead, he examined the boy’s wounds and declared, “I can heal him.
God has given me the power.” He then made a shocking decision—he claimed that performing a circumcision on Samuel would miraculously heal his wounds.
But Roch had no medical knowledge or proper facilities. Instead of anesthesia, he gave the child alcohol to numb the pain. Samuel was forcefully made to drink it, but his little body couldn’t handle it. Within hours, he fell gravely ill and died.
The Inhumane Punishment of Guy
To cover up his failure, Roch blamed Guy for Samuel’s death. He announced that a trial would be held within the community and that Guy would receive severe punishment.
Six months later, Guy was brought before the so-called “court.” The community members, completely under Roch’s influence, found Guy guilty.
Shockingly, Guy accepted the punishment himself—perhaps due to guilt or sheer fear. Roch, showcasing his cruelty, picked up a blade and carried out the punishment.
The story, which had started as a journey of faith, had now turned into a nightmare of tyranny and suffering. Roch, once seen as a savior, had become a ruthless dictator who ruled with violence and fear.
Guy, who had now suffered Roch’s wrath, was done being treated like an outsider. He realized that enough was enough. Instead of hiding the truth, he decided to expose everything. He informed the police about Roch’s horrifying actions.
The First Police Raid and Roch’s Escape
After gathering enough information, the police raided the community, arresting Roch and some of his followers. The commune was shut down.
But this wasn’t the end. Roch still believed he was a divine being. He spent a year and a half in prison, but upon release, he once again managed to escape with some of his followers.
They relocated to a new place, and soon, the cycle of brutality, punishments, and bizarre surgeries resumed.
One day, his wife, Gaby, tried to calm their five-year-old son, who wouldn’t stop crying. Roch coldly ordered her, “Leave him outside in the open sky.”
Gaby obeyed because disobedience meant punishment. The crying child was left in a wheelbarrow in freezing temperatures of -15 degrees. Tragically, he did not survive.
Shortly after, another one of Roch’s wives, Solange, suffered from severe stomach pain. Roch, believing in his twisted “divine healing,” decided to operate on her himself.
His brutal surgery failed, and Solange died the next day. Even after burying her, Roch showed no remorse and continued his sadistic ways.
A Cruel Act Against Gaby
Then, one day, for reasons unknown, Roch decided to cut off Gaby’s arm—to make an example out of her. This was the same wife who had left their child to die in the cold under his orders.
Roch performed the crude surgery himself and amputated her arm. Gaby had no idea why he did this to her. But after losing her arm, she finally realized she had suffered enough.
Determined to escape, she ran away into the wilderness. After a long and painful journey, she reached a hospital.
Seeing her severed arm and the abuse she had endured, the hospital staff immediately alerted the police.
The police quickly arrived at the hospital and obtained all the details from Gaby. Without delay, they prepared for a raid on the commune.
However, Roch was always one step ahead. He had already planned his escape.
The Capture of the Cult Leader
For six weeks, he remained hidden, but eventually, the police tracked him down and arrested him. He was put on trial and sentenced to life in prison.
Even in jail, Roch tried to maintain his image as a “holy and spiritual leader.” But in the end, justice was served—one of his fellow inmates killed him, finally putting an end to his reign of terror.
