The Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) has launched a new version of its Public Safety App to enhance citizen protection and public convenience.
This app will assist people trapped in floods. The Safe City Authority has arranged for the app to be fully free and without data charges for the next 30 days.
A new lock screen feature has also been introduced, allowing disabled individuals to indicate their disability and add contact numbers of nearby relatives for timely rescue.
According to PSCA MD Ahsan Yunus, the app has been designed keeping in mind the needs of visually impaired, deaf, mute, epileptic patients, and people with mental health issues.
In addition to specially designed features, agents trained in sign language are available to ensure immediate communication during emergencies.
Ahsan Yunus further explained that key app features include: 15 emergency call options, emergency live chat, video call facility, location-based flood alerts, gesture medical alerts, fall alerts for epileptic patients, accident alert system, special lock screen for disabled individuals, follow-up on emergency complaints, e-challan information, access to a virtual blood bank, missing children alerts, Chief Minister Punjab portal, IG Police complaint cell, and other facilities.
The app is available in both English and Urdu.
