A shoplifting incident recently occurred at a Hobby Lobby located at 10955 FM 1960 RD W in Harris County.
A deputy from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the store after being alerted by the Loss Prevention team, who reported that a woman was actively attempting to steal merchandise.
The suspect, identified as Stephanie Novreske, was apprehended as she exited the store with unpaid items totaling $200.51.
According to authorities, an Uber driver, allegedly waiting for Novreske, cooperated with law enforcement throughout the incident.
In an official statement posted on the Harris County Constable Precinct 4’s Facebook page, it was confirmed that Novreske was charged with Theft with previous convictions. She was taken into custody, and her bond was set at $5,000 by the 263rd District Court.
Following the arrest, the Constable’s Office issued a firm warning to potential offenders, stating, “DO NOT COME TO PRECINCT 4 AND THINK YOU CAN STEAL!! SUSPECTED SHOPLIFTER ARRESTED!” This message was shared across their social media platforms, reinforcing their strict stance against retail theft.
