FAISALABAD (GL News)– When creativity speaks, every color becomes a voice and the University of Agriculture Faisalabad has given students a golden opportunity to turn a blank canvas into a story and splash of color into a dream.
The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) opened a two-day Art Gala, featuring the visual art, graphic and textile designs related to handicrafts, painting and other material.
It was not just an art exhibition—it was a celebration of young dreams painted with hope, culture, and courage. The work depicts the creativity and entrepreneurial skills of the students.
As many as around 100 stalls were put on display by the students of the Department of Art and Design, Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Art lovers in droves thronged the varsity to have the joy of colors of artwork.
Dignitaries Grace the Inauguration Ceremony
Deputy Commissioner Captain (retired) Nadeem Nasir was the chief guest while former Vice Chancellor UAF Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan was guest of honor on the occasion who was flanked with Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Dr Shazia Ramzan, Dr Najma Afzal, Deputy Registrar/ Technical Staff Officer Muhammad Asif Saddiq, Dr Kiran Khalid, Director Research Dr Imran Arshad, Verdah Tariq, Adnan Baig, Artist Muhammad Asif and other notables.
Art Builds Confidence and Cultural Expression
On the occasion, Nadeem Nasir said it is heartening to see such creativity and passion among the students. He said art is not just a hobby but a powerful way to express thoughts and emotions. Events like this help students gain confidence and connect with their culture.
Dr Iqrar Ahmad said this Art Gala reflects the dedication and hidden talent of our students. Along with academic learning, such creative platforms are important for personality grooming. He said UAF has always played a vital role in nurturing and refining inner traits and creative abilities of the students.
Promoting Youth Entrepreneurship Through Art
Prof Dr Shazia Ramzan said that it is the need of the hour to promote entrepreneurship among the youth so that they can become job providers rather than job seekers.
She said they were aimed at providing students with opportunities to explore their creative potential and showcase their skills. The purpose behind this Art Gala is celebration of imagination, culture and teamwork.
