Three individuals linked to a series of vehicle thefts in Atascocita were arrested following a traffic stop on March 11, according to Constable Mark Herman’s Office.
A deputy from Harris County Constable Precinct 4 identified a vehicle connected to the theft of two GMC trucks the previous night. The vehicle, carrying three Hispanic males and one female, was stopped in the 17900 block of June Forest Drive.
The driver, Andrew Perez, along with Leonardo Abarca and Carlos Ramos, matched the descriptions seen in surveillance footage provided by the victims.
During the search, deputies discovered several tools used for stealing vehicles, further tying the suspects to the crimes.
Carlos Ramos was also found to have an active Auto Theft and Felony Theft warrant in Harris County.
All three suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, as confirmed by Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Andrew Perez faces charges of Felony Theft and Manufacturing Criminal Instruments. His bond for the latter was set at $7,500, while the bond for Felony Theft is pending a decision from the 182nd District Court.
Leonardo Abarca and Carlos Ramos were each charged with three counts of Felony Theft. Abarca’s bond was set at $60,000 by the 209th District Court, while Ramos’s bond is still awaiting confirmation.
