Introduced on the market in 2015, the second generation of the Audi Q7 has since enjoyed good sales results, even after the arrival of a sister model, the Audi Q8 . Despite this, it is still the largest SUV from the four-ring firm and the only one that offers an interior with space for up to five passengers.
After four years on the market, Audi introduced the first renewal of the Q7 in 2019. And now, it is once again implementing notable changes in the flagship of the Q range with the new Audi Q7 2024 that has just been unveiled, with new features such as HD Matrix LED headlights, new customization options and a design language in line with the latest products from the German brand.

Starting with its design , the new Q7 2024 presents “even more minimalist shapes, its clean surfaces and its exceptionally large volume,” as Audi explains, which leads it to adopt an even more modern style.
Among the most important changes is the new Singleframe grille with octagonal design and vertical inlays, the headlights, which now have a new shape and are located in a higher position, and the new air intakes in the renewed bumper.
In order to distinguish the base model from the S line version, Audi incorporates contrasting elements on the front bumper, door trim and rear diffuser. It retains the visible exhaust outlets and the S line exterior package has accentuated air intakes in the front bumper that give the body a more sporty style.
The customization options available in the range also stand out. For example, the colors Sakhir Gold, Ascari Blue and Chili Red are added to the exterior paint offering , as well as five new wheel designs between 20 and 22 inches . Added to this are new upholstery and stitching options for the cabin, as well as cabin finishes and inserts.
The new lighting systems
However, one of the main new features of the 2024 Audi Q7 is the optionally available Matrix LED headlights that can be complemented by high-intensity Matrix LED headlights with laser light . The latter work with 24 LEDs and a high-power laser diode that are recognized by a blue ambient light built into the headlights.
The laser light is activated when exceeding 70 km/h and significantly increases the range of the high beams. As a novelty, these headlights now have digital daylight signatures, a technology that allows the user to choose between four different light designs through the MMI.
Meanwhile, at the rear, the Q7 range adds OLED headlights with digital technology to the offer for the first time, which also offers four different lighting designs. These headlights include a proximity indicator function with the assistance systems, which allows other users to be alerted if they get too close to the SUV when it is stationary.
Technology and security
Continuing with the technological developments, the Q7 2024 integrates a new generation of Audi’s infotainment system, the third-generation MIB 3 system . This allows you to incorporate a wide range of third-party applications, such as Spotify or Amazon Music, while receiving online updates and access to a dedicated app store.
As for the driving assistance systems , the Audi virtual cockpit now shows a lane change warning, other road users, distance warning, intersection assistant and online traffic light information. The remote parking assistant plus also stands out.
And if we talk about off-road capability , the new 2024 Q7 integrates a steel spring suspension as standard, which can be replaced by an electronically controlled air suspension system or with an optional continuous adaptive damping system.
The range of engines
The engine offering of the 2024 Audi Q7 is made up of three different engines. On the one hand, two microhybrid diesel engines based on the 3.0-liter V6 TDI, one with 231 HP (45 TDI) and the other with 286 HP (50 TDI) , are accompanied by an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and a Four-wheel drive.
These turbo diesel engines are joined by a 3.0-liter Mild Hybrid V6 TFSI gasoline option (55 TFSI), which produces 340 HP of power, goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds touching speed of 250 km/h. It also equips Tiptronic automatic transmission, quattro traction and ECO environmental label from the DGT .
Last but not least, the 2024 SQ7 features a 4.0-liter V8 TFSI engine that generates 507 HP of power and 770 Nm of torque. It is the sportiest option in the range, it can go from 0 to 100 km7h in 4.1 seconds and registers a maximum speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.
