Texas Sting Operation Leads to Arrests for Online Solicitation

Authorities in Texarkana, Texas, have arrested four men in a sting operation targeting individuals attempting to solicit sex online.

Two suspects allegedly sought to meet a minor, while the other two were accused of soliciting prostitution.

The Texarkana Police Department (TTPD) conducted the operation alongside the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Homeland Security, and the FBI.

Charges Filed:Gregory Alan Frame, 45, of Wake Village, Texas, has been charged with one count of online solicitation of a minor. Derek Dean Thomas, 33, of Henderson, Texas, faces one count each of online solicitation of a minor and unlawfully carrying a weapon. Robert Hopkins, 37, of Texarkana, Texas, has been charged with one count each of online solicitation of a prostitute and delivery of a controlled substance. Investigators set up the sting over several days to catch individuals attempting to exploit others.

Gregory Alan Frame, 45, of Wake Village, Texas, and Derek Dean Thomas, 33, of Henderson, Texas, allegedly communicated with an undercover officer posing as an underage girl.

Two Men Accused of Soliciting a Minor

They later arrived at a prearranged location, expecting to meet her. Both were charged with online solicitation of a minor.

Additionally, Thomas faces an extra charge of unlawfully carrying a weapon.

Cameron Lamont Dotson, 21, and Robert Hopkins, 37, both from Texarkana, Texas, were arrested on charges of online solicitation of prostitution.

Two Others Charged with Soliciting Prostitution

Hopkins also faces a charge of delivering a controlled substance.

The suspects are being held at the Bowie County Jail with bonds set at:

Derek Dean Thomas: $115,000

Gregory Alan Frame: $100,000

Robert Hopkins: $60,000

Cameron Lamont Dotson: $30,000


The Texarkana Police Department expressed gratitude for the assistance of multiple agencies in the operation.

“We remain committed to keeping our community safe and holding those who exploit others accountable,” TTPD stated.
