Texas authorities have arrested Raymond Trejo, one of the state’s 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders.
He was taken into custody in Stilwell, Oklahoma, on March 12. A Crime Stoppers reward will be issued for his arrest.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), Trejo, 35, from Abilene, was captured by the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service’s Special Applications Branch (SAB).
DPS Special Agents from Abilene and the Stilwell Police Department assisted in the operation.
Trejo had been wanted in Taylor County since May 2024 for failing to comply with sex offender registration laws.
In 2009, he was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and sentenced to 10 years in a Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prison.
Texas Crime Stoppers, funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, offers cash rewards for information leading to the capture of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, Sex Offenders, and Criminal Illegal Immigrants.
In 2025, authorities have arrested 16 individuals from these lists, including four sex offenders and five criminal illegal immigrants. So far, $22,000 in rewards has been paid for successful tips.
Those with information about wanted fugitives can provide tips anonymously through three methods: calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477), submitting a tip on the DPS website by selecting the fugitive’s profile, or using the “SUBMIT A TIP” link on the DPS Facebook page.
Tipsters remain anonymous and receive a tip number instead of using their name.
DPS works with local law enforcement to update and maintain the Texas 10 Most Wanted lists.
The public can view the latest lists, along with fugitive photos, on the DPS website.
Authorities warn the public not to approach these fugitives, as they are considered armed and dangerous.
