FAISALABAD (GL News) – A brave son of Faisalabad Police–Sub-Inspector Ahmad Raza, In-charge Investigation of Bahlik Police Station–has laid down his life in the line of duty.
He was martyred during a targeted operation against wanted criminals.
According to the district police, the courageous police officer conducted a raid in Chak No. 607 GB to arrest two proclaimed offenders, identified as Azhar and Rauf.
As the police approached, the suspects opened indiscriminate fire. Sub-Inspector Ahmad Raza sustained a gunshot wound and embraced martyrdom on the spot while performing his duty with unwavering courage and dedication.
Immediate Response from Senior Police Officers
On being informed of this gruesome incident, the City Police Officer Faisalabad, Sahibzada Bilal Umar, took immediate notice and dispatched senior police officers– including SSP Investigation Nasir Mehmood Bajwa and SP Sadar Division– along with a heavy police contingent to the spot.
Police launched a major search operation to apprehend the culprits. Checkpoints have been set up across the city, and raids are being conducted to arrest them, police said.

CPO Sahibzada Bilal Umar expressed deep grief over the loss of a brave officer and vowed that the criminals involved in the incident will be brought to justice.
He said that the sacrifice of Ahmad Raza will not go in vain and serves as a reminder of the Punjab Police’s unwavering commitment to the safety and security of the people.
