A fatal shooting outside a movie theater in Webster, Texas, claimed three lives on Monday night.
Police are investigating the incident, which took place near the Gulf Freeway, just north of NASA Bypass.
According to Webster Police Chief Pete Bacon, officers arrived at the Cinemark parking lot before 9:45 p.m. and discovered two women and a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The women were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The male suspect, who sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was also transported for emergency treatment.
Despite doctors’ efforts, all three victims were later pronounced dead.
At the scene, authorities found a BMW SUV with a shattered front passenger window, surrounded by police tape and medical equipment.
Investigators have not yet disclosed the identities of those involved or the possible motive behind the shooting. The Webster Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division has taken over the case.
Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward as they continue to piece together the events leading up to the tragedy.
