Two proclaimed offenders were killed in a shootout (killed in a gunfight) with police in Chak 237-RB, Khuddian Warraichan, on Thursday.

Police Raid Turns Deadly

Police reported that a raid was carried out (a police operation was conducted) in the village to arrest two fugitives identified as Raza Hussain, alias Munna, of Chak 57-GB, and Umer Farooq, alias Lakar, of Chak 74-GB.

Both POs were wanted by the police (sought by the police) in connection with a murder case registered with the Jaranwala City police.

Fierce Gun Battle

Upon seeing the police, the proclaimed offenders opened fire on (shot at) the officers, which was returned.

When the shooting stopped (gunfire ceased), the police launched a search operation and found both criminals dead (having breathed their last).

Criminal Background of the Deceased

Police claimed that the deceased were members of the Shah Gang and had extensive criminal records (long histories of criminal activity).

Umer Farooq was involved in 16 cases, while Raza Hussain had been booked in 31 cases of various natures.
