PERRY, GA – A person was injured in a shooting at a mobile home early Sunday morning, according to the Perry Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire at 1319 Houston Street, a neighborhood near Houston Lake Road, around 4:30 a.m. The victim suffered gunshot wounds and was taken to Perry Hospital in a private vehicle, police said.

Medical staff treated the victim at Atrium Health Navicent Hospital. As of Monday morning, the criminal investigations division was still examining the case.
