HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A late-night online sale meetup turned violent, leaving four men injured in a shooting at an apartment complex in northwest Harris County, authorities said.

The incident occurred just before midnight near Bammel North Houston Road, northeast of Highway 249, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said the men had planned to meet for an online transaction, though details about the deal remain unclear.

At some point, the situation escalated, leading to a gunfight. All four men were shot, investigators reported.

A 24-year-old victim was airlifted to a hospital, while the other three managed to drive themselves to an emergency room for treatment.

HCSO Sgt. Robert Wade said the investigation is still in its early stages. “We will interview the individuals involved, review surveillance footage, and examine the vehicles at the scene to determine what happened,” he stated.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact investigators.
