North Harris County Double Shooting: One Man Dead, Another Injured

HOUSTON, Texas — Deputies are investigating a possible double shooting that left one man dead and another injured in north Harris County.

The incident happened Tuesday night around 10:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Barren Springs Drive.

According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, a 40-year-old Black man was found lying in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies said multiple people in the area reported hearing gunshots.

Around the same time, a second victim, a 22-year-old man, arrived at a nearby hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Authorities confirmed his case is connected to the shooting but are still investigating what led to the violence.

Deputies suspect the incident may be drug-related, though details remain unclear.
