HOUSTON, Texas – Authorities are ramping up efforts to locate Cesar Rosales, a 21-year-old suspect wanted for capital murder in a double homicide case from January 2022.
The Houston Police Department (HPD) identified Rosales as a primary suspect in the deaths of Adrian Martinez and Paulina Vega-Yanez.
The shooting occurred at 12302 Coulson Street, where officers found Martinez inside a red Chevrolet pickup truck, fatally shot multiple times. Vega-Yanez was discovered nearby, suffering from at least one gunshot wound, near a red sedan.
Investigators believe Vega-Yanez was involved in the confrontation before her death.
Authorities initially described the suspects as three Hispanic males. Rosales, known by the alias “Chavez,” was later identified and charged in the case.
However, the two other suspects remain unidentified and are still on the run.
As the manhunt intensifies, HPD is urging the public to come forward with any information regarding Rosales or the other suspects.
The Houston Police Department (HPD) is asking anyone who knows where Cesar ‘Chavez’ Rosales is or can identify the wanted suspects to reach out to their Homicide Division.
Tips can be reported by calling 713-308-3600 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
Rosales has been officially charged in the 180th State District Court. The case is being handled by Lieutenant J. Horn and Detectives J. Escobar, H. Martinez, and S. Chettry from the HPD Homicide Division.
Authorities emphasize that any tip, no matter how small, could be crucial in bringing Rosales and his accomplices to justice and helping the victims’ families find closure.
