On January 7, 2024, the 57th U.S. Consumer Electronics Exhibition CES 2024 opened in Las Vegas. LG Electronics exhibited a number of scientific and technological achievements at this exhibition, including transparent film antennas and networks in the automotive field.
Security Management System (CSMS) Cockpit platform, and two concept products that demonstrate the direction of future mobility—Alpha Able concept car and Bon Voyage camper van.
Let’s take a look at the Alpha Able concept car first. As a personalized immersive space, the cockpit used in the concept car is built with themes that can be transformed, explored and relaxed. LG believes that the interior of future travel tools should be “physically transformable to adapt to different scenarios or travel purposes.
Randomly transform into a restaurant, a studio, or even a movie theater on wheels. “To achieve this, the concept is equipped with transparent, flexible and rollable displays that come in a variety of shapes, to which LG applied technology from the home appliance field.
In terms of being able to explore, LG hopes that the vehicle “understands the unique context of each journey, can take into account the travel destination, travel duration and other variables, and provide users with a more intelligent way of traveling through tailor-made routes.”
LG believes this is possible with artificial intelligence, as the voice assistant can provide more relevant information and options.
For those who want to relax and unwind, LG envisions users sitting in heated massage seats while relaxing scenes such as a “beautiful virtual garden” are displayed on the screen.
Looking at the Bon Voyage camper, it has the dimensions of a small camper, measuring 12.4 feet (3.8 meters) long, 6.6 feet (2 meters) wide, and 7.2 feet (2.2 meters) high.
Officially, it is defined as a “customized living space, designed to extend the quality of life at home into nature.” The upper space in the vehicle can be equipped with a bed, and also has a refrigerator, water purifier, induction cooker and other common equipment for campers.
