A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Richmond Avenue near Fountain View Drive around midnight, according to Houston Police.
The driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital but did not survive.
Authorities have not confirmed if a crosswalk was present or if the driver will face charges.
