Lahore Police Tighten the Noose on Criminals

LAHORE: In a major crackdown on heinous crimes, the Investigation Police arrested 110 suspects involved in physically assaulting 103 women in the first three months of 2025, according to a recent performance report.

DIG Zeeshan Raza revealed that police successfully nabbed suspects in 40 cases, including the murder of 15 women, and recovered 988 abducted women related to 972 registered cases.

In child kidnapping cases, 144 abductees were rescued in connection with 129 cases.

Additionally, 44 suspects were arrested in 41 cases of physical assault against children, while police also took action in 487 harassment cases against women.

The report further highlighted the arrest of 911 robbers, with authorities recovering goods worth over Rs327 million.

Two suspects involved in kidnapping for ransom cases were also taken into custody.

DIG Raza reiterated the police’s commitment to protecting lives and property, assuring continued efforts to curb crime across the city.
