Driver Arrested for DWI and Illegal Weapon Possession on Katy Freeway

Houston, TX – A traffic stop on the Katy Freeway last Friday led to the arrest of a driver who was reportedly intoxicated and in possession of a loaded firearm.

Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office pulled over a vehicle on the freeway and noticed that the driver, identified as Jacob White, appeared impaired.

Field sobriety tests confirmed that he was driving under the influence, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4.

Following the investigation, White was taken into custody.

Authorities also discovered he was unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm at the time of the arrest.

Jacob White was transported to the Harris County Jail. He faces two charges: Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

His total bond was set at $200 by County Court 12.

“Jacob White was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawfully Carrying of a Weapon,” Constable Mark Herman confirmed in a public statement.

Constable Precinct 4 also reminded residents about their mobile app, C4 NOW, available on social media and app platforms.

The app provides live updates on local crime, arrests, traffic incidents, and safety tips for communities within Harris County.
