They show this picture to people around them, and soon a discussion about the color of the dress begins in the entire community. No one agrees on it, and this continues for weeks. Eventually, one of Grace’s friends posts this picture on social media, hoping that maybe the internet will help them find a permanent solution to this debate.

Immediately after posting, it goes viral on social media. Everyone is talking about it and debating the color of the dress. It goes viral to such an extent that it is retweeted millions of times. National news and talk shows start covering it: white and gold versus blue and black. This post truly breaks all records on social media.
The Wedding
Meanwhile, while all this is happening, Kair and Grace get married. They are on their honeymoon and are completely unaware of what is happening in the outside world because they were not paying attention to it.
The Ellen Show Invitation
During their honeymoon, suddenly they receive a call from a producer of The Ellen Show. The producer asks them if they would like to leave their honeymoon to appear on his show. He tells them that during the show they will discuss the viral dress photo.

One day while they were both at home together, an argument arises over something trivial which causes Kair to become extremely angry and start abusing his wife right there.
Seeking Independence
Due to all these circumstances, Grace becomes very distressed during this time; she also starts looking for work while applying for jobs in mainland Scotland. One day she receives a call for an interview from a company; upon receiving this call, Grace is very happy because it’s big news for her that she is getting a job somewhere in mainland Scotland. This was something she didn’t want to hide from her husband; however, when she shares with Kair that she has been called for an interview by a company, he does not like it at all and starts getting angry.
Seeing her husband’s reaction, Grace tells him that she won’t go for the interview but secretly sneaks out anyway. On the other hand, Kair is very angry; he spends all day at the pub drinking beer while sending text messages saying that she doesn’t do anything to support him.
The Confrontation
After her interview when Grace returns home, she finds her husband fortunately asleep; she thinks there won’t be any conflict now as she will talk with him in the morning. However, as soon as she gets home, Kair immediately wakes up very angry; he yells at her clearly stating that he will no longer stay with her and will leave her.
After saying this he storms out of the house; seeing his condition Grace runs after him trying to convince him that they should sit down and talk instead of leaving in anger.
The Attack
As soon as Keir leaves home with Grace following behind him things turn very serious because Keir attacks his wife knocking her down onto the ground while sitting on top of her choking her so she can be sent from this world to another. This entire situation terrifies Grace greatly as she starts screaming for help so someone can come rescue her. Hearing her screams one of their neighbors rushes over to save her immediately freeing her from Keir’s grasp.
It seems like after the neighbor arrives Kair feels ashamed which causes him to return home but no—that doesn’t happen; instead he goes inside and grabs a large knife before attacking his wife again threatening that today he will finish her off. This entire situation terrifies Grace immensely because she sees this side of her husband for the first time; she had no idea that caring Kair could fall so low as to take her life.
Desperate Measures
Keir holds onto that knife just to scare her but actually attempts once again to choke her while trying to kill her; in order to protect herself Grace struggles desperately managing somehow to escape back inside their home where she calls police for safety. When police arrive they immediately arrest Keir.
Legal Consequences
The police investigate Charles who is presented before court where he is sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison based on evidence against him regarding attacking his wife.
