Houston Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing of 23-Year-Old Man

Houston police are investigating the stabbing death of a 23-year-old man who was seen running along the Gulf Freeway service road, desperately seeking help.

The victim, Otto Pop Coc, was found at 6000 Gulf Freeway service road around 10:20 p.m. on March 14.

A witness, who did not see the attack but noticed blood on Coc’s shirt, provided medical aid and called 911.

Houston Fire Department paramedics arrived but pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators reported a long trail of blood leading from the crime scene to a nearby apartment complex. However, no suspect description or motive has been identified.

Houston police are asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS to provide an anonymous tip.
