Haval H9 can be regarded as the pioneering product of Great Wall Motors’ high-end off-road category. When it first entered the market, it could even compete with Toyota Land Cruiser.

However, the Haval H9 model has been slightly quiet in the past two years. With the launch of Haval H5 in 2023, users’ calls for the replacement of Haval H9 have once again sounded.

Finally, the Haval brand has lived up to expectations and launched a new generation of Haval H9.

Recently, a batch of road test materials and announcement pictures of the new Haval H9 have leaked on the Internet. Judging from the videos and pictures, the new car adopts the latest family-style design, inherits the hard-core styling of the H9, continues the non-load-bearing body, and has a classic car light design.

In terms of appearance design, the new Haval H9 continues the brand design language and adopts a square box shape. The vehicle has tough lines. The front face has a large-sized grille.

The round lights on both sides look more powerful. The exterior outline is daytime running lights, and the interior is its headlight set. There are also fog lights on both sides of the bumper.

As can be seen from the side, its body size is not small and it is expected to be a medium to large SUV. The waistline extending from the front to the taillights is very straight. The new Haval H9 still uses traditional mechanical door handles, which is also suitable for hardcore off-road use scenarios.

The ground clearance of the car body is outstanding, and the front and rear overhangs are relatively short, which can effectively increase the approach and departure angles.

At the rear of the vehicle, the new car adopts a straight-line design and has a large rear window.

The tailgate still has a side-opening structure and carries a “small bag” with a large rear-mounted spare tire. There are independent rounded rectangular tail lights on both sides.

In the chassis part, the new Haval H9 continues the non-load-bearing body structure common in hardcore off-road vehicles, and the suspension is a front double wishbone and rear integral bridge design.

At the same time, low-speed four-wheel drive will also be provided, so there is no need to worry about off-road capabilities.

In terms of power configuration, the new Haval H9 retains the mature 2.0T 8AT power system, while adding a 2.4T 9AT diesel power combination, which can meet the power needs of more users in different scenarios.

If the new Haval H9 continues to be priced at the current price, it will continue to be positioned between 200,000 and 250,000 yuan, focusing on hard-core fuel-fueled off-road routes.

With the arrival of the new Haval H9, Great Wall Motors’ layout in the off-road category has become more complete. It already has the light off-road Haval Dog category, the hard-core off-road Tank 300, the Tank 500, and the new energy hard-core off-road tank Hi4-T series.

In addition, Great Wall Motors is also expected to rely on its complete product layout to compete with models such as the Ford Bronco and the new Toyota Prado.
