Lahore (Web Desk): A notorious criminal, wanted in multiple cases of robbery, theft, child abduction, and rape, allegedly was killed by his own accomplices during a shootout with police, on Tuesday.
According to the Kotwali Organised Crime Unit, police were escorting the suspect, identified as Zeeshan alias Shahni, to recover weapons when his accomplices, hiding along the roadside, ambushed the officers in an attempt to free him.
In the exchange of gunfire, Zeeshan was critically wounded. He succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
Police revealed that the suspect was involved in dozens of heinous crimes across Lahore and Sheikhupura, including the abduction and sexual assault of children.
The attackers managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
A manhunt is underway to track them down.
