Very few people possess the quality to control their desires. Most do not think that they might be exploiting others rights only to fulfill their own desires. Take this guy, for example.
He is very fond of cars. It is four o’clock in the morning and he is standing on the roof of a car showroom. He throws down a rope and descends through a hole into the showroom where many cars are parked.
When he looks at the cars, the one he likes is a yellow Lamborghini car.
He breaks the locks of the car and also disables the threat alarm system installed in the showroom to avoid being caught by anyone. Then, he drives his favorite car out of the showroom with a big bang.
The yellow car he steals belongs to a celebrity chef named Guy Fieri, who is a rich man as he also owns a hotel. However, this boy named Max, a 16-year-old boy, succeeded in stealing the car from the showroom easily.
He was kicked out of school and doesn’t like studying. Despite this, clever Max has learned how to disable the threat alarm and can manage the car’s system. He gained this knowledge by watching YouTube videos.
After getting the car, Max is so happy. He drives recklessly around the city, trying his level best to avoid being caught by police. He also knows that the car’s distinctive color and style will attract attention even from a distance.
As Max drives around, Guy Fieri, the real owner, receives a call from his friend who says, “How are you, bro? I saw you driving around town today. I liked your beautiful car.” However, Fieri did know that Max is the one who is enjoying the ride of his car.
Max is not only an expert in stealing cars, he also used to make fake school IDs for students as a side business. The fake ID business also earned him a good amount of income.
One day, he gets a call from a girl named Eva, who ordered Max for a fake ID. Max likes the girl and wants to be friends with Eva. He begins to dream of meeting Eva in the stolen car, imagining how impressive it would be to show up in such an expensive and beautiful vehicle.
Despite Max’s best efforts, Eva is not interested in him at all; she only talks to him because she got a fake ID from him. She always insists on quick deliveries, but Max has something else on his mind. During one conversation, Max asks Eva what she’s doing on Valentine’s Day, and her response shocks him. She tells him she’ll be spending it with her boyfriend.
After hearing this, Max’s mind begins to spin, and he goes crazy with rage. He couldn’t believe Eva was involved with someone else.
Eva’s boyfriend is named Landon, and as soon as Max learns his name, he starts searching for him (Landon) on social media. He begins threatening Landon, sometimes challenging him to a fight, and other times saying things to make him leave Eva. Max believes that if Landon is out of the picture, Eva will be with him instead. However, his efforts have no effect on Eva.
When nothing else works, Max has a dangerous idea: why not eliminate Landon so that Eva will be more inclined to be with him?
Two months pass as Max plots his scheme. Despite all his efforts, Eva still doesn’t respond positively, so he decides to put his plan into action. He goes to a motorcycle spare parts workshop and buys a black helmet and other black clothing items to conceal his identity when he commits the act. Armed with his weapon, Max takes out his motorcycle and heads to Landon’s house.
When he arrives outside Landon’s house, he sees Landon standing by a truck. To Max’s surprise, Eva is also there with Landon. Max fires five shots at Landon, shattering the truck’s windows. Tragically, Eva is hit by the gunfire and killed instantly. Landon is also struck and falls to the ground, but in the chaos, Max drops his weapon. Seizing the opportunity, Landon manages to drive away and reach a nearby shop. He calls 911 and reports the incident.
When the police arrive at the scene, they find no evidence identifying the shooter. However, they obtain footage from a nearby gas station’s security camera. The footage shows the shooter dressed entirely in black and riding a black motorcycle.
The two detectives investigating the case begin to watch the footage carefully. It’s Max’s misfortune and Landon’s fortune that both officers are knowledgeable about motorcycle models. They identify the brand of the helmet and realize that it is sold by only one motorcycle workshop in the area.
Both officers visit this motorcycle spare parts workshop. They request the camera footage from the shop and see Max shopping for black items. They take a picture of Max to aid their investigation.
The police don’t yet know Max’s name, but they remember that someone had been threatening Landon on Facebook. When they match the Facebook profile with the photo from the workshop, they realize it’s the same person making the threats. The detectives decide not to arrest Max immediately. Instead, they plan to gather more evidence, including the weapon and the motorcycle he used, to ensure a solid case against him and secure a conviction.
Acting on the officers’ instructions, Eva calls Max while the police record the conversation. Eva says, “Hey Max, how are you? I need a fake ID. Let’s meet.”
During the call, Eva asks him to come in his yellow car when they meet. Max is delighted and agrees.
When Max leaves his house, the two detectives who were investigating the case start tailing him. The yellow car makes it easier to track Max, as it stands out from a distance. As Max is driving, the officers instruct Eva to cancel the meeting with Max. Following their direction, Eva sends a message to Max, saying she can’t meet him today.
When Max sees the message canceling the meeting, he heads back to the place where he parks the yellow car, unaware that the officers are following him. The officers deliberately let Max return to his hiding spot so they can recover the motorcycle used in the shooting.
When Max arrives at the parking spot, the officers catch him red-handed, as both the motorcycle and his weapons were also there.
When the case goes to court, Max is sentenced to 21 years in prison.
