Amarillo Police Arrest Person of Interest in Suspicious Death Case

AMARILLO, TEXAS – Police have arrested a 67-year-old man linked to the suspicious death of a woman found in an alley last week.

On March 11, officers from the Amarillo Police Department responded to a location near Center Avenue and Alabama Street, where they discovered the body of Elizabeth Duckworth.

The victim was wrapped in plastic, and authorities classified her death as suspicious but did not reveal the cause.

Person of Interest Identified

Investigators identified Ronald Milles, 67, as a person of interest in the case. Police sought public assistance in locating him.

Witnesses reported seeing Duckworth’s body inside a stroller, being pushed through the neighborhood near 6th Avenue and South Georgia Street.

Arrest and Investigation

On March 13, authorities confirmed that Milles had been located and interviewed.

He was then booked into the Randall County Detention Center on a separate charge.

Officials have not disclosed whether Milles will face additional charges related to Duckworth’s death.

The investigation remains ongoing.
