Rescue 1122 Ambulance Accident: Driver Killed, Technician Injured in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: A Rescue 1122 driver was killed and a technician sustained multiple injuries when the rescue ambulance collided with a stationary sugarcane-laden tractor-trolley on Friday.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson said that an ambulance was on its way from Faisalabad to Samundri after transferring a patient to the Civil Hospital Faisalabad. When it reached near Dijkot, it collided with a stationary sugarcane -laden tractor-trolley.

Resultantly,  40-year-old driver Azhar Abbas, breathed his last on the spot. Besides, he said, Anwar Khan, 38, an emergency medical technician, suffered injuries.

On being informed of the incident, the rescue team reached the spot and shifted the injured to the civil hospital.
